A Visit With Nolan And Adelyn...

We went to the beach. Nolan loved it, Adelyn did not. We saw some crabs. They were better off away from Nolan. We stopped at all the candy stores and ate it all!

We went to the fair and saw the pig races, went on the "ferry-go-round", milked a cow, went on lots of rides. It was very hot but lots of fun!! It didn't rain on our visit to Portland this time. We were excited about that. Looking forward to our next trip.

Adelyn Olivia Randall joined our family Sunday July 12, 2009 weighing in at 8lbs 10oz. Mother and baby are doing great, so Nicholas says. I understand that she has been calling for her Nana since she arrived. A trip to Portland has been scheduled. We are excited to welcome grandchild #10 to our family!

In 1967 my cousin had a crush on this cute boy Ron. She said, "If you like Tim (Ron's younger, and very cute brother) that would be cool." So I, being only 12 years old agreed. I knew then who I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. It was alot of work but I won his heart and we are 32 years into the rest of ours lives!

We put up the slip and slide and made a drinking fountainwith the hose. The water was refreshing!

We walked to the park. There were only two injuries. Nana didn't bring bandaids. We had lunch in the park. It was a long walk.

Fun With Nolan...

We went to Portland to visit Nick, Heather and Nolan. It rained. Tim and Nolan measured things at IKEA. They put a new McQueen bed together. Nolan put the screws inside the frame and Tim had to take the bed apart to get them out. We went to Build A Bear and Nolan made a bear. He named him Papa Bear. Papa Bear is wearing underwear and a hardhat. Nolan's choice. I took a blanket of Jill's with me and Nolan slept with it every night. Luckily I took two. He cried when I tried to take it home. It belongs to Nolan now. Sorry Jill. We had a great time in Portland.

In Blackfoot Again....

We went to Blackfoot to visit Troy, Ali and the kids. While we were there we took a swim in Lava Hot Springs. Troy blessed Alissa. He said the blessing had to be short because she was so heavy. Of course we went to the dollar store! Another fun trip. Looking forward to the next one.

Tim and I were sleeping peacefully one night and look who showed up. We were excited to see them. They stayed for the whole weekend. Alissa has grown and is looking more like Tyler. Izzy has firmly taken her place as the middle child. Tyler had a meltdown when it was time to leave. It was a fun weekend.

Seth left for Marine Boot Camp February 9th.We had a little party for him before he left. There was an obstacle course andwe think he passed. He should do well in San Diego. Watch out Marines, herecomes Seth.

Blackfoot....again....

We didn't expect to go to Black for another few weeks, but Alissa came a bit early and we couldn't wait to see her, and we couldn't wait to see Izzy and Tyler, and we hadn't been to the dollar store for a few weeks!!

Alissa is one week old now and doing great. Izzy has a few issues. We look forward to our next visit to Blackfoot. I don't think we have bought everything at the dollar store yet.

A few days in Blackfoot.....

The Saturday after Christmas we headed to Blackfoot. Tyler got some good pictures for us while we were there. There were so many we couldn't post them all.

We watched Tyler make baskets with his new basketball hoop. We visited the dollar store and Izzy bought some make up. She put it on all by herself. Isn't she gorgeous?? Ali did two puzzles. Its hard to keep her down. I did my best. We hung out enjoying our kids and grandkids. Tyler was excited when we had to stay an extra night.

Troy built a sled run with steps and all. Good job Troy. We had a fun weekend and were sad to leave. We'll be back soon!!!

Christmas Celebrations...

Christmas Eve we spent with the Westover Family. Santa arrived. Colby was scared, Oscar and Carter were excited.

We also had earing club gift exchange. Another great Westover activity.

Papa got sick so Carter had to "doctor" him.

Christmas morning Tim and I went to visit the grandkids to see what Santa brought them.

The day after Christmas we had our own party. The grandkids had fun opening more presents.

We are blessed to have such a great family. It was nice to spend the holiday with our children that live nearby. We missed our children and grandchildren who live far away and we are always thinking of them and planning our next trip to Portland or Blackfoot.

25 Years....

25 years ago last January Tim started working his dream job. Here he is, fresh out of POST, with hair on his head!

Tonight he got his recognition award for 25 years of service to the City of Nampa.

19 Hours in Blackfoot....

While Tim was being a good Home Teacher and helping a family, I spent 19 hours with Ali and the kids. We had a good time playing games and just hanging out. Tyler used my camera to take some pictures. Here are a few of their house. Thanks Ali for letting me hang out with you!

Thanksgiving...

Thanksgiving morning the kids came over for breakfast. After breakfast Papa took the boys
on a hike in the hills. They were gone for several hours. They had so much fun
that they didn't want to come home when it was time to go for their turkey dinners.

Tim and I had dinner with the Westover clan. It was a small group this year. Tim was all tuckered out from the hike earlier in the day.

Today the boys were "helping" Papa. The fixed the plugs and used the leaf blower. They went to the tire store and the car wash. Before they went to the car wash, Oscar said he doesn't like the car wash but the "cacuum" was fun. When they came home, Oscar said the car wash was fun.

This week Tim is in training. Yesterday he was tased. He said it was fun and is ready to do it again. Listening it sounds like a whole lot of fun. He has two holes in his back from his "fun" day at training.

Fun Weekend...

This weekend was a busy one! Troy and Nicholas came to Boise. We had two birthday parties while they were here. We celebrated Nolan's #2 birthday. There was a dance party (Oscar has the moves), presents, yummy cake and juggling by Papa. We had to light the candles twice so Colby could blow them out too.

We had a big birthday bash for Popsie. Lots of family, food, and fun. What else do we need?
It was fun having the all the kids in town for a few days.

We had our Randall Reunion in July. We went to the park and Brenda took pictures for us.
Good job Brenda. It was not easy getting 11 great-grand children to sit still with Grandpa for a picture.

We had better luck with the grandchildren!

A Trip To Portland...

This weekend Tim and I went to Portland to visit Nick, Heather and Nolan. Emily, Carter and Katelyn came along with us. We had alot of fun. If you can believe it, it didn't rain...well, it rained a bit Friday night but we were sleeping so it didn't count. We spent some time at IKEA spending a little bit of money! Saturday we went to the zoo. We decided to ride the train to the zoo. It was fun and the boys liked it. Tim found a Kayak at the Zoo. He really liked the bat exhibit. It was nice to spend some time with Nick and Heather. Nolan was free with his kisses this time. We were pretty lucky. We are already planning our next trip.

Tim and Troy went on a short Kayak/Bike trip. I don't know where they went but I know it included kayaks/bikes and of course a tent. They had fun, as much fun as you can have sleeping in a tent! Tim met Tyler after school at his bus stop and Tyler was excited! He took Tyler and Izzy to buy some pumpkins.

National Bosses Day??

A few days ago Emily said "Thursday is National Bosses Day". So I said we should buy lunch that day. Well, today is Thursday and as you can see, we had yummy Smoky Mountain. After lunch and before I did this post, I looked at the calendar and noticed that National Bosses Day is next Thursday!! Oh well...I guess we will have to buy lunch next Thursday.

Tim has a bunch of climbing shoes that he washed and put on the porch to dry. I told him that I wasn't responsible for them in the backyard. The boys were excited when they saw them. I hope Tim can find all the shoes when he needs them. He might check over the fence.

After a week and a half of no hot water, Tim and the boys fixed the water heater. You can probably imagine how much help they really were. Colby wanted to use his "Handy Manny" tools but had to settle for Papa's tools because he left his at home.

A Trip To Blackfoot...

Tim and I went to Blackfoot on Saturday morning and surprised Izzy and Tyler with a visit. They were excited to see us. We went out to lunch. Had a visit to Toys R Us. Izzy didn't like the Giraffe. Tyler got to pick out his birthday present. It took a long time. There are a lot of toys in that store! Of course we went to the dollar store. And Papa put the tent up. Tim and Troy put a new bathroom door up for Ali. It has a lock on it!! It won't cost me a dollar to use the bathroom every time. Now Tyler is out of a job. He was a good bathroom guard.
Tyler chose a fireman set for his birthday present. Doesn't he look cool? We can hardly wait for the next trip to Blackfoot.

Tim was at a conference for a few days with Troy. The conference was three days long. Tim taught two classes. They went up two days early because Troy was on the committee to organize the conference. Needless to say Tim had a lot of free time. When they got back on Wednesday he wasted no time getting back into his usual schedule. I looked outside to see what he was doing and found him vacuuming up the wood chips that the boys had put on the lawn. Why do you think he got that cool vacuum?

There is a sister in our ward who has her sister visiting with her. Sunday I was telling them about our 'sister week'. I mentioned how nice it was when our oldest sister bought See's candy for us. The visiting sister, who was the older of the two, thought this was a great idea. They went to the mall today and then they paid me a visit. I was so excited!! They not only brought me some See's but they brought me a bowl of marshmallow popcorn too. It is the best popcorn. Too bad there is no one here to share with.
It was nice that they thought of me.

Today is Friday and Emily is spending the day with the Reed girls. So I am alone with 5 of my grandkids. No mall today. Oscar has already had a meltdown about that. I put Nellie and Katelyn down for a nap and put the gate up to keep three boys away from the sleeping princesses. Five minutes later I looked and there were three strollers and their contents of cars, tools and fire hats over the gate - along with two little boys. They were very proud of their accomplishment. Poor Colby. He is always one step behind the other boys. He didn't make it over the gate. I think it is going to be a long day.
